Nintendo Wii had another incredible year in 2008, selling millions upon millions of hardware units. With software hits like Wii Fit, Mario Kart and the continued success of Wii Play, Nintendo is in a good position with the casual audience, but it'll take more than Mario Kart to bring the hardcore back into the Nintendo fold.
It's disputable whether or not 2009 will change the hardcore gamer's perception of the system, but here are five games the staff are pumped about playing in 2009:
